Laity against Church

Dissenting Voices from laity against Church from Kerala

It looks like Christians who claim allegiance to different church traditions of Kerala are going through some kind of introspection. The hitherto suppressed feelings, questions and concerns are pouring out through blogs and other social media. Many of them seem to have understood the folly of imitating other religions, propagating false stories, overzealous conversions etc.
Actually the Christian society is facing an implosion. Nowadays there are more number of incidents of Christian factions coming out accusing each other of corruptions and wrongs and use those as reasons to move against the influence of the other group. These fault lines which are rooted in the Kerala Christian community are now showing up even among Christians who live out side India. Many of the followers dare to challenge the fraudulent propaganda about St Thomas and the fabricated proofs etc. They are not ready to simply swallow the statements of the church especially when it comes to the increased number of criminal activities involved by padres and nuns. May be the freedom of speech and thought they see in Hindu society triggers this phenomenon. Or the increased number of converted Hindus among them who were enjoying the freedom till the other day, is indirectly influencing their mind set.
It is better for them if they realize the importance of natural growth instead of trying to outgrow others with a dream to dominate. The following blogs give some very interesting perceptions about what is happening among them.
